Owls (Ages 4.0-5.11: Pre K & TK) Our Preschoolers and Transitional Kindergarten children are a combined giving your child the best of both worlds of play and exploration along with age-appropriate academic challenges. While play is at the heart of learning, academics are introduced in a more formal way utilizing Houghton Mifflin Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears to ensure that our children are divided into small groups with a 1:10 ratio in order to facilitate a more individualized approach to learning during center time.
Focused is placed on Project Based Learning, letter, and phonemic awareness, handwriting, story retelling, and processing. STEM projects, art expression and appreciation, and music and movement. Our outdoor play yard is an extension of our classroom offering many opportunities for children to explore and create while enjoying the beautiful park like setting.
