International Students
Marin Christian Academy is proud to host a group of Korean exchange students for six weeks every year. MCA families host one child, grades 4-8th, during this period. Our exchange students attend MCA on a normal school schedule in their respective grades. ESL classes are also provided during their stay. A coordinator/chaperone from Univest Foreign Exchange Academy accompanies them during their stay and facilitates their transition into our American culture.
Univest was formed by Micky Bae, a former exchange student who accepted Christ through his host family. It is his vision for Korean children to experience our culture and be presented the Gospel through a Christian home and school.
We are excited about the opportunity for MCA kids to be exposed to a different culture and minister to children of their own age group. Often times, host students and families learn just as much during this experience as our exchange student guests! MCA children and families love the experience of hosting a student in their homes and have created lasting friendships. Contact the school office if you are interested in learning more about hosting an exchange student.
