Noah’s Ark Preschool and Marin Christian Academy (MCA) share a rich history of faith, growth, and commitment to Christian education. Both schools were established in 1979, founded with a shared vision to provide children with an exceptional academic foundation rooted in Biblical truth and Christ-centered values.
Noah’s Ark Preschool began humbly as a one-room classroom, created to serve the youngest learners in our community. Over the years, God’s faithfulness and the dedication of loving teachers allowed the program to grow steadily. Today, Noah’s Ark Preschool has expanded to four vibrant classrooms, serving hundreds of children each year and offering a nurturing environment for children ages 2 to 5 years old.
In 2008, the preschool introduced its first Transitional Kindergarten (TK) class to bridge the developmental gap between preschool and elementary education. By 2023, the TK program was relocated to the Marin Christian Academy campus, allowing MCA to officially become a TK–12th grade private Christian school. Noah’s Ark Preschool continues its strong legacy by serving 2-year-olds through Pre-K students, with the Pre-K class composed primarily of older threes and young fours preparing for their next stage of learning.
Marin Christian Academy itself has also experienced steady and purposeful growth. What began as an elementary school expanded to include middle school in 1982–83, and later a high school program in 2016–2017, offering families a complete Christian education pathway from early childhood through graduation.
For over 20 years, RuthAnn Newberry faithfully served as the Director of Noah’s Ark Preschool, leading with wisdom, experience, and a deep love for children and families. Her commitment to excellence and Christ-centered education has helped shape Noah’s Ark into one of the most respected and beloved preschools in the Marin community. Heather McCracken, who worked alongside RuthAnn for many years, is currently the Director.
Together, Noah’s Ark Preschool and Marin Christian Academy hold a strong reputation for excellence, faith, and community connection. We are deeply thankful to God for the countless families who have entrusted us with their children’s education over the decades. As we look to the future, we remain committed to nurturing young hearts and minds — helping every child grow in knowledge, faith, and love for the Lord.
