WELCOME TO THE CATERPILLAR CLASS!
(Ages 2 – 2.6 years)

Our Caterpillar Class is our youngest preschool group, thoughtfully designed for children just beginning to explore social interaction and independence. The focus is on building early language and friendship skills while nurturing a growing awareness of others and the world around them. Each day includes opportunities for process art and sensory experiences that strengthen fine motor coordination and creativity. Large group times introduce children to listening, taking turns, and participating as part of a community. Music, movement, art, and early STEM exploration are woven into the daily curriculum to promote curiosity and joyful discovery.

Beyond cognitive and language development, our Caterpillars are also supported in self-help skills such as washing hands, feeding themselves, and cleaning up after play—laying the groundwork for independence and confidence. Teachers model and guide emotional development by helping children identify feelings, use gentle words, and practice empathy. Gross motor play, both indoors and outdoors, helps develop balance, coordination, and body awareness. Our beautiful park-like outdoor play yard serves as an extension of the classroom, offering endless opportunities for exploration, imagination, and social play. Twice a week, the children participate in our Garden Program, where they dig, water, and observe colorful flowers and plants—building vocabulary, tactile awareness, and an appreciation for nature.

Our teachers are exceptional—experienced, nurturing, and deeply committed to engaging with each child every day. They create a warm, safe environment where even the smallest milestones are celebrated, and every child is encouraged to grow at their own pace.
